Carbon tetrafluoride (CF4) _ Greenhouse gas as caused of climate change / ELT-FGA Sensor Series (Gas Analyzer)

Good morning, this is ELT Sensor.

Today, we will learn about carbon tetrafluoride _ CF4, one of the greenhouse gases that causes climate change, and briefly introduce the FGA sensor, a CF4 (carbon tetrafluoride) measurement sensor and gas analyzer product from ELT Sensor.

  What is Climate Change?

This refers to the phenomenon in which the average temperature of the Earth's surface rises (greenhouse effect) as the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increases.

Previously, it was expressed as global warming, but recently, the expression climate change is used more often.

The representative greenhouse gas that causes the greenhouse effect is carbon dioxide (CO2), which accounts for 80% of greenhouse gases. However, if you look at the global warming index, you can see that carbon tetrafluoride (CF4) is a greenhouse gas that is 1,000 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.

So what is carbon tetrafluoride (CF4)?

Therefore, a scrubber process is essential to prevent CF4 from leaking during the semiconductor manufacturing process, and in this process, carbon tetrafluoride level measurement must be performed step by step.

The FGA sensor product series of ELT Sensor is an NDIR (non-dispersive infrared measurement) sensor that boasts excellent performance in measuring the concentration of gases used in the semiconductor industry in addition to CF4 (carbon tetrafluoride).
